Made for Metroidvania Month 28

I started when the jam was already halfway over so I decided to ignore graphics and sound and just make a functional prototype. It's definitely lacking some stuff, but I have gotten most all that I wanted to done in the 15 days I had. Hopefully the bosses aren't too hard, I wanted them to be difficult but beatable. But it's hard to keep an objective view of difficulty while playtesting my own work, especially in this short a length of time (I only ended up with two days to make the bosses).

I hope there aren't any giant bugs, I didn't have much time to test the final build.

EDIT: There was a large issue with starting new save files, I have uploaded a (now slightly late) build with this issue fixed and no other changes.

EDIT 2: One of the bosses was appearing inside the floor. I remedied this issue.

EDIT 3: Two bosses weren't rendering correctly, they should now be properly shown. 

Controls:

return to file select screen (will save progress if you have collected new abilities / health upgrades): y

move: arrow keys

attack: d

jump: space

(once unlocked)

run: shift

upwards dash: x 

To delete a save file (this is not reversible):

while highlighting the file that you want to clear, hold caps lock and zero, and press the downwards arrow

Nice feel to the controls. Playing a game with bold graphics is a satisfying experience.

Fun game and very charming! Had a boss that was invisible and another that spawned in the ground, but decided to push through anyway :p

The final boss caught me off guard - nice trick :)
